The litters are started out on Royal Canin extra small kibble. They typically are introduced to this food between 4-5 weeks old. The kibble size is tiny for small mouths.
This food can be started at around 9-10 weeks old and continue until the puppy is 1 year old. The kibble size is a little bit bigger yet the ingredients are the same.
We have had a few people ask what the difference in the size of the kibble is. In this picture the two are compared. The one on the left is the small and the one on the right is extra small.
For our dogs and puppies with a more sensitive digestive system we feed Victor Yukon River. It is grain free however its one of the few brands not on the DCM list. Its made with salmon and sweet potatoes. The kibble size is relatively small. This food is good for all life stages which includes puppyhood through adulthood.
